The week you really get a peek inside of my process. The show notes are simply my script notes. And if you have listened you will know I am putting out a call for help from you. I have taken my Spring Break and now wanting to move forward in the best possible direction.
I’VE HAD THIS THING FOR COMMUNICATION SINCE LONG AS I CAN REMEMBER I THINK but my age that could be 20 minutes but really I’m just talking about my childhood memories.
WRITING AND PLAYING SONGS PLAYS A BIG PART IN MY ENDEAVOR TO COMMUNICATE
ALTHOUGH I MUST ADMIT I AM VERY SHY ABOUT WHERE AND WHEN I WILL PLAY MY MUSIC.
So now, I’m a podcaster. Sharing my passion for all things new and avant-garde. I love our little community radio station, it feels like I’m in the living room talking with my family. And on a wider scale I love my big bigger family folks from faraway places like Australia, Malasia, Spain, and even China has downloaded some of my podcasts. The miracle of the World Wide Wed. –we are all family.
So here I am kind listener, I’m not sure what this fork in the road is, a turning point, a stopping point, or just reevaluating what the heck I’m doing and recalibration my focus. I do know that change is inevitable all things are changing all the time, and this podcast is no exception. I do know that your input will play a major role in what direction thinking outside of the box is going. I’m interested what ‘floats your boat’ in regards to radio or Internet media?

For me, it’s a balance between information and entertainment, and we can be informed and entertained at the same time. The other part of the balance has to do with what type of information I’m letting you know I’m looking to let into my existence. Do I play the role of the monk on the mountaintop and sit in peace and meditate on world peace or Do I play the role of the gnome Chomsky type person shining the light on perceived injustices and atrocities.
Yes I have been thinking on this for a bit of time, and some of you know that I’ve taken a break from new interviews the past two weeks. This morning I got up and Googled save the world’s complex. Why? It’s on my mind, and it plays a big role and not only this podcast but my day today interacting with the world. YES I KNOW, I AM NOT GOING TO SAVE THE WORLD. BUT I ALSO KNOW THAT IT’S A BIG PART OF MY PERSONAL MISSION TO MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE IN. MAYBE THIS SONG FROM 1968 PLAYED A ROLE IN MY EVOLUTION, FRANKLY I DON’T REMEMBER JACKIE DESHANNON, BUT HERE SHE IS AND THEN TRANSITIONING TO A NEWER VERSION WITH ANNIE LENNOX AND AL GREEN
You can find both of these songs by doing a YouTube search, or go to my show notes at bountiful productions.com/spring break is over.
And the world would be a better place for you for me
GOOGLE “SAVE THE WORLD COMPLEX”
BUT DON’T WE ALL WANT TO BE A PART OF MAKING THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE
A messiah complex (also known as the Christ complex or savior complex) is a state of mind in which an individual holds a belief that they are, or are destined to become, a savior. The term “messiah complex” is not addressed in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), but symptoms of the disorder closely resemble those found in individuals suffering from grandiose delusions (GD) or delusions of grandeur. This form of delusional belief is most often reported in patients suffering from bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. Little is known about the disorder, but it is believed that as many as 10% of the population may hold similar beliefs in one form or another, though not significant enough to warrant a diagnosis. Examples include Jim Jones, David Koresh, and Inri Cristo.
For my listeners who don’t know me personally, in case you haven’t guessed, I’m from baby boomer generation. Frankly I relate more to Gen X Y, Rainbow, Indigo children. I guess that’s the wonder of not just radio but of the reality that you are as young (or as old) as we think. It’s an inside job.
Now I am drawing from quite a few years of living learning, hard knocks, broken illusions and plain old trial and error. I’m telling you this because I did spend a good portion of my younger years as a “doomsday Messiah”. Basically I stayed very well informed on all the world news I knew about every conflict going on especially the ones the US was involved in. Did I make the world a better place, it’s questionable. I would say it was sometime in the late 70s or early 80s it dawned on me that making the world a better place started, and ended, with working on making me a better person. I’ve spent a lot of time in introspection, attended countless workshops, and I’m still climbing the mountain. I have become clear I’m one thing, and Michael Jackson wrote a song that helped me with this process.
I’m Starting With The Man In
I’m Asking Him To Change
And No Message Could Have
Been Any Clearer
If You Wanna Make The World
A Better Place
Take A Look At Yourself, And
Then Make A Change
Start by having a look in the Mirror
